Local Environmentalist Turns Home Into Guided Wonderland

When dedicated environmentalist Doug Anderson committed to Earth Hour this year, he wasn't messing around. Not only did he shut off every electrical device in his three-bedroom colonial for a full week, but he also disconnected the backup generator and disabled his car battery.

"Total darkness is the point," explained Anderson, whose passion for environmental causes is well-known throughout the neighborhood.

This year, however, Anderson came prepared. His solution? Strategic placement of reflective CapFlags on every baseball cap in his extensive collection, creating what he calls an "eco-friendly navigation system."

"It's revolutionary," Anderson proclaimed while confidently striding through his pitch-black living room. "The American flag CapFlags reflect even the faintest moonlight, creating a patriotic path through environmental darkness."

Anderson's wife Janet, sporting a cap with rainbow flags that glowed eerily in the blackness, nodded in agreement. "Now he can make it all the way to the kitchen for snacks without any issues. It's amazing what a difference these make."

"It's not about convenience," Anderson insisted as he successfully navigated around his sleeping golden retriever. "It's about showing Mother Earth we care while still being able to find the bathroom. That's what these little flags represent – ingenuity meeting planetary responsibility."
